SANE ARCHITECTURE is an award winning experimental studio based in Paris, researching the perfect balance between the sane and the insane, between exploration and control in architecture.

Founded in 2013 by Christina Chelarescu and Traian Bompa, the studio brings together their experience from the fields of architecture, economics and art.

Since 2013 our projects have been recognized in several international competitions: co-laureat for the Museum of Underwater Antiquities international competition in Athens Greece in 2013, second place for the extension of the brutalist icon Preston Bus Station in UK in 2015, finalist for the design of the Nizhniye Mnevniki Metro Station in Moscow Metro International Competition in 2016, two innovation awards at MIPIM future project awards.

In 2017 our Eternicity project, detailing an innovative financing system, was a finalist of Inventons la Metropole International Competition and in 2019 the studio has been selected as one of the four finalists of IMGP2 for an office building with a 3d printed facade at Bagnolet.
Recently SANE architecture has won an international competition in Bucharest to build a 122m positive energy tower.
